 Make sure foods that give off a strong odor are wrapped or
covered properly and placed away from foods such as butter or
milk that may be contaminated by such strong odors.
 Allow hot foods to cool down before placing them in the fridge.
Dairy foods and eggs
 Most prepackaged dairy products have a "use by /best
before/best by/ date" recommendation stamped on them. Store
them in the fridge and consume them within the recommended
time.
 Butter can be contaminated with strong-smelling foods, so it is
best to store it in a sealed container.
 Eggs should be stored in the fridge.
Red meat
 Place fresh red meat on a plate and wrap it with cling film or
aluminum foil.
 Store cooked and raw meat in separate dishes. This will prevent
any fluids from the raw meat from contaminating the cooked
meat.
Poultry
 Completely fresh poultry should be washed inside and out with
cold water, dried and placed on a plate. Wrap them in cling film or
aluminum foil.
 Poultry pieces should also be stored in this manner. Whole poultry
should never be stuffed until the moment before it is cooked,
otherwise the food will lose quality.
Fish and seafood
 Whole fish or fish fillets should be eaten the same day they are
purchased. Until you are going to cook them, place them on a
plate covered with plastic film or aluminum foil.
 If you are going to store fish for a long time, you should buy fresh
fish. Whole fish should be washed with cold water to remove
