• An inappropriate washing product has been used. >>> Use the original washing
product suitable for the machine.
• Too much washing product has been used. >>> Put the washing product in the
appropriate compartment. Avoid mixing bleaching product with washing product.
The washing results are bad : Oily stains appear on the laundry. (**)
• The drum is not cleaned regularly. >>> Clean the drum regularly. Please refer to the
corresponding chapter.
The washing results are bad : The clothes give off an unpleasant smell. (**)
• Odours and layers of bacteria form on the drum surface as a result of continuous
washing at lower temperatures and/or in short programmes. >>> Leave the dispenser
drawer and the loading door ajar after each wash. Thus, a moist environment
favourable to bacteria cannot be created inside the machine.
The colour of clothing has faded. (**)
• Excessive amounts of laundry have been added. >>> Avoid overloading the machine.
• The washing product used is wet. >>> Keep washing products closed in a moisture-
free environment and avoid exposing them to excessive temperatures.
• A higher temperature has been selected. >>> Select the appropriate programme and
temperature according to how much the laundry is stained and the type of stains.
Rinsing is not complete.
• The amount of washing product, the brand and the storage conditions used are not
appropriate. >>> Use a washing product suitable for the machine and the type of
laundry. Keep washing products closed in a moisture-free environment and avoid
exposing them to excessive temperatures.
• The washing product was placed in the wrong compartment. >>> If washing product
is introduced into the prewash compartment on a non-prewash cycle, the machine
may introduce this washing product during the rinse or softener phase. Put the
washing product in the appropriate compartment.
• The pump filter is blocked. >>> Check the filter.
• There may be a kink in the drain hose. >>> Check drain hose.
The laundry became stiff after washing. (**)
• The amount of washing product used is insufficient. >>> With the hardness of the
water, using insufficient washing product can cause the laundry to stiffen over time.
Use an appropriate amount of washing product depending on the hardness of the
water.
