7A. The electrical installation to the electrical central requires an authorized electrician.

Electrical installation

This product is delivered with an open-ended cable and must be installed by an authorized electrician.
All tools with exposed metal parts should be insulated to prevent them from touching the metal frame to avoid short circuit.
Connect the open-ended cable according to local electrical regulations.

Safety instructions

1. Follow the manual to use this device. Failure to follow instructions may result in danger to person or damage to property.
2. You must also follow the documentation regarding charging of your electric vehicle.
3. Regularly check the charger for visible damages. Risk of electric shock when using a damaged charger.
4. Before powering on the device, please confirm that the device is properly grounded to avoid accidents.
5. Do not use the charger if it is damaged.
6. Do not open up or modify any part of the device by yourself. Only authorized electricians with safe tools may perform mainte-
nance.
7. Before installation and powering on the device for the first time, confirm that the voltage and ampere from the power supply
matches this device.
8. Only use this device for charging electric vehicles.
9. Do not use this device with an extension cable or adapter.
10. Do not disconnect while the device is charging. Before disconnecting the cable. You should first unlock your car to turn off the
charging.
11. Protect this device from liquids/water, rain, wind, snow and sand, even if it is IP rated, safety first.
12. Store and use at min -25°C, max +50°C ambient temperature. The ambient air should not contain acids, alkalis or other cor-
rosive or explosive gases.
13. Connect this device protective earth.
14. If you have the charger or cable on the ground, they can be easily be damaged, keep them off the ground and protected from fall
damage.
15. This product may cause a tripping hazard.
16. Old or erroneous contacts or cable line branches in the building can cause overheating at high loads, which in turn can be a fire
risk. Because of this risk, let an authorized electrical installation company check the electrical installation.
17. If an earth fault type error is displayed. You must assume that the earthed wire in the cable is carrying voltage, which could be
an electrical hazard. Please consult an electrician. And let the electrician check that there is no high-voltage leakage in the circuit
system.
28. This device must be installed by an authorized electrician. Risk of electric shock.
Use locations
Typical use locations for this product would be sheltered locations or areas with roofs, such as a garage or a parking lot with a roof.
Compatibility
Charger EV-4120 is for all electrical vehicles with Type 2 contacts.
Do not use them with other types.
LED status
Off: The LED is off.
Connected: The LED is lit green.
