Settings 4 and 5 are designed for rollers with cutters. Setting 1 is used for transport
(maximum distance from the ground).
The greater the depth, the greater the wear of cutters or spring-loaded claws on the
roller. Deterioration in performance results from wear of the elements.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
How to use a lawn scarifier – appliance with rollers with cutters
1.
Scarifying results in removing a hardened surface, grass felt and flat-growing
weeds as well as loosening the grass clusters. The lawn begins to breathe and
assimilate nutrients, oxygen and water. This also prevents the growth of
bacteria in lawn felt in winter.
2.
Before scarifying a lawn, mow the grass to a height of about 40 mm. During
operation, the lawn must be dry. The best moment for scarifying is any time
during the growth season period, from the end of April to September. The
operation should be carried out at least once a year.
How to use an aerator – appliance with rollers with spring-loaded claws
1.
The appliance removes dead elements, moss and weeds that mar the lawn.
Dead grass forms a mat of absorbent fibres that prevent water from entering
the ground.
2.
Do not overload the aerator when grass is longer than 75 mm. When using
the appliance, the lawn must be dry. It is recommended that the aerator be
used at the beginning and end of each grass mowing season to accurately
comb a lawn. The aerator should also be used after each mowing to remove
grass left by a lawnmower.
