9.4 Unpacking the appliance
If you open the packaging carelessly
with a sharp knife or other pointed
objects, the appliance can be damaged.

9.5 Electrical connection
WARNING
Electric shock due to faulty
connection
The appliance must be switched off when
connecting it to the mains power supply.
The switch must be set to '0'.

✓ Connect the mains power cable to
a properly installed grounded plug
socket.
9.6 Intended use
The appliance is exclusively for brewing
coffee. The appliance is intended
exclusively for use in private households
and is not suitable for commercial use.
Use the appliance only as described in
this instruction manual. Any other form
of use does not constitute an intended
use and can result in material damage or
even personal injury.
The manufacturer or dealer accepts no
liability for damage or injury resulting
from improper use or use for other than
the intended purpose.

10 Using for the first time
Before using the appliance for the first
time, clean it with a damp cloth.
Setting up the coffee maker
• Place the appliance on a flat and
stable surface.
• Insert the mains plug into a socket
with protective contacts.
Before the first brew
• Run 2 times with clean water
only and without paper filter to
remove dust accumulated during

production.
• Under no circumstances use coffee
powder for this cleaning cycle.
11 Operation
To operate the appliance, proceed as
follows:
1.
Open the water tank cover.
2.
Fill cold water into the water tank
according to the desired number of
cups.
→ Fill the water tank up to the
"MAX" mark.
3.
Make sure that the filter holder is
inserted.
4.
Bend the bottom fold of the paper
filter (size 1x4).
→ The paper filter must not protrude
over the edge. Press down a little
with your hand.
5.
Insert the filter into the filter holder.
6.
Fill the filter with the desired amount
of coffee powder.
7.
Fold down the filter/water tank cover.
8.
Place the glass jug on the plate.
9.
Switch on the appliance.
→ The control light in the switch
lights up.
IMPORTANT
The brewing process takes about 8-12
minutes.
