The Hymer Park Pilot was specially developed for Hymer vehicles and adapted to the special design of the Hymer motorhomes,
so that even very high as well as low rear sections of the various models can be optimally mounted. Due to the optimised
sensor technology, this reversing aid offers optimum support when reversing and provides optimum protection against unsightly
collision damage.
Thanks to the latest CanBus technology, the signal from the reversing sensors is transmitted without interference via the
vehicle's power supply system, which means that no cables have to be laid through the vehicle and no interfering radio signals
are required. This makes the Hymer Park Pilot ideal for both short and long motorhomes. The Hymer plug-and-play system
enables quick and easy installation by any specialist workshop.
Special functions of the Hymer Park Pilot:
- Specially developed for Hymer motorhomes and Hymer caravans.

- Main warning zone can be optimised for motorhomes with and without rear bicycle carrier, so that the bicycle
carrier is taken into account.
Optimisation for motorhomes with and without bicycle carrier
The system is designed to be optimised for motorhomes with and without a bicycle carrier. If a bicycle carrier is mounted at the
rear, it is automatically included in the calculation.
If bicycles are transported on the rear bicycle carrier, they often obscure the reversing camera. The Parking Pilot is a great help
here, as the distance to the obstacle is reliably displayed despite poor visibility.
The main warning zone (continuous tone) is active at 30cm without a bicycle carrier and with a bicycle carrier this is included
and the main warning zone already starts at 70cm. The setting is made directly on the control unit during assembly.
Function / Park Pilot Activate:
The parking pilot is activated by engaging reverse gear.
The LED display acknowledges the activation with a short tone.
Dynamic detection:
The system detects whether an obstacle is approaching, the distance does not change or an obstacle even moves away from
the vehicle.
Thus, the distance indication and especially the warning tones are optimised as follows:
0-30cm (with bicycle carrier): Continuous tone
0-70cm (without bike carrier): Continuous tone
30/70 =<100cm: Warning tones + distance indicator also when the vehicle is stationary without movement of the vehicle or
obstacle.
>100 =<160cm: warning tones + distance indicator Dynamic and therefore only when an obstacle is approaching
>160cm-250cm: Distance indication Dynamic and therefore only when an obstacle is approaching.
