○ Sort the textiles based on the ironing temperature and start with the garments which
require the lowest temperature. If the temperature on the device is reduced, wait a
short while until the bottom of the iron has cooled down and then continue ironing.
○ Iron delicate textiles inside out.
USE
Please Note!
■ If there are water residues in the water
tank, rinse it out with fresh water and
activate the steam production until all
the water evaporates (see the "Use"
chapter – "Filling the Water Tank" and
"After Use").
■ Before the iron is used on an item of
clothing for the fi rst time, iron over a
damp scrap piece of fabric to remove
any possible production residues from
the bottom of the iron.
For steam-ironing, the water tank (8)
needs to be fi lled with water. This is not
necessary for dry-ironing.
FILLING THE WATER TANK
Please Note!
■ Do not overfi ll the water tank! Do not
exceed the MAX marking on the water
tank.
■ Never pour additives into the water
tank. These could damage the device.
1. Make sure that the device is not con-
nected to the mains power and is not
hot.
2. Flip open the water tank lid (15).
3. Use the measuring cup (3) to pour tap
water or distilled water into the fi ller
opening of the water tank (8).
4. Flip the water tank lid shut.

AUTOMATIC SAFETY SWITCH-OFF
FUNCTION
Please Note!
■ It takes a little while for the bottom of
the iron to cool down. Even once the
device is in stand-by mode, never leave
it unattended while it is still connected
to the mains power!
The iron (1) automatically switches
to stand-by mode (heating function is
switched off) when it is placed vertically
on the base (7) for 8 minutes or is resting
on the bottom of the iron (9) and is not
moved for 30 seconds.
To switch it back on at the temperature
level which was selected last, move it
slightly or press any button.
IRONING
Please Note!
■ Only switch on the steam when there
is water in the water tank as otherwise
the water pump may be damaged and
the useful service life of the device may
be shortened.
■ Only connect the device to a plug sock-
et that is properly installed. The plug
socket must also be readily accessible
after connection so that the connection
to the mains can quickly be isolated.
The mains voltage must match the
rating plate of the device.
■ Do not use any extension cables.
■ Always test whether the ironing tem-
perature is suitable for the fabric fi rst
on a small, ideally inconspicuous spot
on the fabric.
