■ Do not iron delicate fi bres with steam
to prevent any damage!
■ Even though the iron has an automatic
safety switch-off function, do not leave
the hot bottom of the iron standing on
the fabric or another heat-sensitive sur-
face or iron on one spot for too long!
This may cause a fi re.
■ Do not iron over zips, studs, clips,
sequins etc. to prevent any damage to
the coating on the bottom of the iron.
1. Plug the mains plug into a plug socket.
STANDBY lights up on the display (13).
2. Place the iron (1) upright on the ironing
board or on a stable, heat-resistant and
moisture-resistant surface.
3. Check the label in the garment for the
required ironing temperature (see the
"Ironing Recommendations" chapter)
and set this temperature using the
buttons + (11) and – (12).
The selected temperature level fl ashes
on the display while the bottom of the
iron (9) is heating up.
4. Once the chosen temperature is
reached, the display is lit up constantly.
The iron is ready for use.
5. Move the bottom of the iron back and
forth on the fabric until it is smooth.
For steam-ironing, hold down the
steam button (4).
Steam-ironing is only possible
at a high temperature. At lower
temperatures, water could emerge
from the bottom of the iron rather
than steam.
6. When the water tank (8) is empty,
steam will no longer be produced. Fol-
low the instructions in the "Filling the
Water Tank" section to top it up.
SPRAY FUNCTION
The spray function is suitable, for exam-
ple, for moistening delicate textiles which
cannot be steam-ironed. This function is
possible at any temperature.
The water tank (8) must be fi lled (see the
"Filling the Water Tank" section).
○ Press the
spray button (10) a few
times. Water will be sprayed through
the spray nozzle (14) onto the fabric.
VERTICAL STEAM-IRONING
Please Note!
■ For vertical ironing, the item of clothing
must hang on an iron with suffi cient
clearance all the way round so that the
heat and moisture does not cause any
damage.
■ Do not press the steam button during
the heating process in order not to
slow this down and to prevent a danger
of scalding from hot water which may
escape. Wait until the display of the
temperature level is constantly lit.
■ In the case of delicate fabrics, hold the
iron a few centimetres away from the
fabric.
1. Make sure that the water tank (8) has
been fi lled (see the "Filling the Water
Tank" section).
2. The brush attachment (2) can be used
to freshen up textiles. Slide it onto
the tip of the bottom of the iron (9)
(Picture B).
3. Plug the mains plug into a plug socket.
STANDBY lights up on the display (13).
4. Use the button + (11) to select the
temperature level MAX and allow the
device to heat up.
5. Hold the bottom of the iron upright,
with the tip tilted forwards slightly,
press the steam button (4) and move
the bottom of the iron (9) back and
forth on the fabric.
