CHOOSING A LOCATION FOR YOUR SOLAR SECURITY LIGHT
This Solar Security Light comes complete with a solar panel attached to a 15 foot power
cord. For optimum sun exposure and longer light output, place the solar panel in a position
that receives at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight per day. Placing the solar panel in
a shaded location or behind a window will not allow the battery to charge fully, reducing
the number of hours the light will operate per evening. Ensure that the solar light is not
placed near nighttime light sources such as porch lighting or street lighting.
This Solar Security Light is ideal for lighting up areas where electricity is not available
— including porches, driveways, carports, garages and entrance areas – for safety and
security around your home.
When deciding where to mount the light, keep in mind that the motion sensor has a field
of vision of 130º (horizontal) at a distance of up to 33 feet when the surrounding
temperature is 75°F. The outside temperature will impact the detection distance.
TOOLS REQUIRED FOR INSTALL
If mounting on a wood or softer surface, you only need a Phillips-head screwdriver. If
mounting to concrete, brick, or a harder surface, a drill should be used to create the
mounting holes first

Installing the Light
Your solar motion light works best when installed vertically, but should never be installed
upside down. To install the Light onto a solid surface, remove the screw on the side of your
Light and slide the metal mounting bracket out of your light. Screw the metal mounting
bracket onto a surface using the 2 supplied screws (and the wall hangers if needed). After
the bracket is secured, slide the main body of your Light back onto the metal mounting
bracket and tighten the screw that holds the mounting bracket to the light.
