Protective measures against exposure to dust
The SILENT flow sensor can be used together with one of the following extraction units in the SILENT
range
• SILENT compact
• SILENT TS / TS2
• SILENT TC / TC2 / EC2
within the scope of measures to protect against exposure to dust *) as defined by the German ordinance
on hazardous substances ("GefStoffV") / respective employers' liability insurance association.
*) Note for customers in Germany: A validated and recognized dust protection measure in accordance with testing
principle GS-IFA-M20 (issued by the German Institute for Work and Health IFA) shall only be deemed to have
been provided when, in addition to a validated and recognized extraction unit, a validated and recognized detec-
tion unit is also provided.

Safety
Improper use
The SILENT flow sensor may not be operated in combination with equipment that generates dust such
as sandblasting units or trimmers! Only spare parts and accessories supplied or authorized by Renfert
GmbH may be used with this product. If other spare parts or accessories are used, this could have a
detrimental effect on the safety of the equipment, increase the risk of serious injury and lead to damage to
the environment or the product itself.
Hazard and warning information
General information
► If the unit is not operated in accordance with the supplied instructions for use, the intended safety
can no longer be guaranteed.
► The unit may only be operated using a power cord equipped with a plug appropriate to the local
power supply. Any necessary modifications may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
► Only operate the unit if the information on the nameplate corresponds to the specifications of
your local mains power supply.
