Safety instructions

Dust extractors can be dangerous
when in use. You should therefore
always follow the safety instructions
set out in this chapter, as well as the
safety regulations applicable in the
country of use!
The voltage on the device name plate must be
the same as the mains power voltage.
The power outlet must be protected by a house-
hold fuse with a suitable current rating (16 A).
Do not place devices in operation, including
accessories if:
there are signs of damage (tears or cracks)
on the device
the power connection line is defective or
shows signs of cracks forming or of aging
you suspect there is some unseen defect
(after being dropped).
Do not use extension cords that are damaged.
Do not point the nozzle, hose or tube in the
direction of people or animals.
Be especially careful when vacuuming stairs.
Make sure you are balanced and secure.
The power outlet on the device must only be
used for the purposes specified in the operating
instructions.
Never work without the protective equipment
prescribed for the relevant operation and do not
make any modifications to the device that could
undermine safety.
Children and young persons must not operate
this device. This rule does not apply to young
persons over the age of 16 years receiving
training and being supervised by an expert.
Prior to all work, make sure that the vacuum
hose is securely attached and undamaged.
Do not pull the plug out of the socket by holding
onto the cable.
Before cleaning, emptying and eliminating mal-
functions, disconnect the mains power plug.
Protect the cable against oil and high tempera-
tures and do not walk or drive over it, crush it,
pull on it or damage it in any other way.
Damaged cables or plugs must be renewed
immediately.
Always be aware of environmental influences.
Do not allow the device to be exposed to the
rain and do not use the machine in the vicinity of
inflammable liquids or gases.
When operating the device outdoors, use of an
earth-leakage circuit-breaker is recommended.
Store the device in the dry under lock and key
and out of reach of children.
Regular cleaning of the device is a key safety
factor. Before beginning this task, pull out the
mains plug.
The device should be set up on an even surface
so that it cannot tip over or roll away (lock the
steering roller in place).
In order to operate the device safely and to
maintain it in good condition, you should select
a set-up location that allows for clearance on
either side of 0.3 m and an open height of 2 m.
Cleaned air must only be directed into working
areas from which it has been vacuumed. In
other words, the electrical tool and the dust
extractor should only be operating in the same
working area.
If foam or water emerge from the device, turn it
off immediately. Empty the container and if nec-
essary the fold filter.
Acids, acetone and solvents can have a corro-
sive effect on parts of the device.
Do not leave the device unattended. If work is
interrupted for an extended period of time, dis-
connect the power cord.
Before each maintenance task and after each
time it is used, turn off the device and discon-
nect the power cord.
If the devices's connection line is damaged, it
must be replaced by a special connection line
that is available from the manufacturer or the
manufacturer's customer service department.
Repairs should only be performed by trained pro-
fessionals, for example customer service spe-
cialists. Devices that were not repaired by profes-
sional standards pose a hazards for the user.
Only original MAFELL spare parts and accesso-
ries must be used. Otherwise the manufacturer
does not offer any warranty and does not accept
any liability.
