Important Notes
• Discontinue use of this child seat if it has been in a moderate
or severe crash. It is not necessary to replace a car seat after a
minor crash defined by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration (NHTSA) as:
a. The vehicle is drivable from the crash site; and
b. The vehicle door nearest the child seat was not damaged;
and
c. No vehicle occupants were injured; and
d. There is no visible damage to the child seat; and
e. The airbags (if present) did not deploy.
• Verify that the child restraint and child restraint belts or straps do
not interfere with the opening and closing of the vehicle door.
• Consult vehicle user guide to ensure child restraint installation
does not interfere with function of vehicle seats.
• Ensure the lower harness (waist) straps are firmly adjusted in a
position so that the child's pelvic area is secure.
• Ensure the upper harness (shoulder) straps are firmly adjusted so
that the child is secure.
• Never leave child unattended.
• Do not, except as described in this booklet, attempt to
disassemble any part of the child seat or change the way the
harness or vehicle's seat belts are used.
