Possible cause
Release valve is opened.
Dirt has penetrated under
the seal.
Oil level in the tank is too
low/ high.
Air in the mechanism.
The seal is defective.
Defective tank, valve or
pump.
Action
Tighten the valve.
Clean or replace the seal.
Top up/ drain oil from the
tank.
Gently unscrew the tank plug
to let air out.
Replace the seal.
Repair or replace the
defective component.
