• Connect the appliance to the mains, the pilot light will light up.
• Set the thermostat knob to maximum level. Heat indicator light on
appliance will light up and appliance will start to heat.
• Appliance will finish pre-heating around 3-4 minutes and heat indicator
light will turn off.
• Heat indicator light will turn off once the maximum temperature has
been reached and will light up again once temperature has decreased.
• On first use, there may be a slight odour and a little smoke during the
first few minutes.
• Avoid to pre-heat the appliance longer than suggested in order to pre-
serve non-stick feature of cooking plates.
ASSEMBLY
Before you use your appliance for the first time
• Remove all packaging materials and accessories from the inside and
the outside of the appliance.
• Wash the gill plates. Follow the intructions in the paragraph "after use/
cleaning".
• Prime the grill plates by wiping over then using a little cooking oil.
• Place your appliance on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface. Avoid
using your appliance on a soft surface such as a tea-towel.
If the appliance is used in the centre of the table, keep it out of the
reach of children.
Position the power cord carefully, whether an extension is used or
not, so that guests can move freely around the table without tripping
over it.
Never place the appliance directly on a fragile surface (glass table,
tablecloth, varnished furniture, etc...)
To prevent the appliance from overheating, do not place it in a corner
or against a wall.
Do not use aluminium foil to keep the product fron getting dirty.
• On the first use, wash the plates (follow the "after use" paragraph), pour
a little cooking oil onto the plates and wipe with a soft cloth.
