ACM Autotuning compressor management
AdaptiveFunction Plus enables the Compact-Y units to adapt to
the system they are serving, so as to always identify the best
compressor operating parameters in the different load conditions.
During the initial operating phases, the special "Autotuning" function
enables the Compact-Y units with AdaptiveFunction Plus to learn the
thermal inertia characteristics that regulate the system dynamics. The
function, which is automatically activated when the unit is switched on
for the first time, performs a number of preset operating cycles, during
which it processes the information relative to the water temperatures. It
is then possible to estimate the physical characteristics of the system
and thereby identify the optimal value of the control parameters to be
used.
At the end of this initial estimate phase, the "Autotuning" function
remains active, thereby allowing the control parameters to be promptly
adapted to every change in the water circuit and therefore, in the water
content of the system.
I.3
MACHINE IDENTIFICATION
The units feature a serial number plate located on the electrical panel; it
bears the machine identification data.
I.4
DECLARED CONDITIONS OF USE
The TCCEY units are self contained air-cooled water chillers; the
TCCEY T and H units are self contained air-cooled water chillers
complete with storage and pump. The THCEY units are self contained
heat pumps with air evaporation/condensation; the THCEY T and H
units are self contained heat pumps with air evaporation/condensation
complete with storage and pump. Both ranges are equipped with
centrifugal fans.
They are intended to be used in air conditioning systems where chilled
(TCCEY) or hot and chilled (THCEY) water is required not for human
consumption.
DANGER!
The machine is designed for indoor installation.
Segregate the unit if installed in areas accessible to
persons under 14 years of age.
IMPORTANT!
The unit will function correctly only if the
instructions for use are scrupulously followed, if
the specified clearances are complied with during
installation, as well as the use restrictions indicated
in this manual.
IMPORTANT!
If clearance distances are not maintained at
installation, it could cause malfunctioning with an
increase in absorbed power and a considerable
reduction in cooling (heating) capacity.
DANGER!
The machine has been designed and manufactured
solely and exclusively to function as an air
evaporation heat pump; any other use is strictly
PROHIBITED.
Installing the machine in an explosive environment
is prohibited.

FUNCTIONING LIMITS
I.5.1.1
Functioning limits
Cooling cycle:
B.S. air side exchanger intake air temperature:
20°C ÷ 42°C with output water temperature at 7°C.
In no case should the unit operate normally with output water
temperature above 18°C.
T (°C)=Outdoor air temperature B.S.
t (°C)=Water temperature
Temperature differential on the evaporator: t = 3÷8°C.
Functioning with condensing control (KFI)
Standard functioning
Minimun water pressure = 0,5bar
Maximum water pressure = 3bar
Heating cycle (for THCEY)
B.U. air side exchanger intake air temperature: -5°C ÷ 20°C.
