Obviously, this selection is particularly important for the correct outcome of the test. The
operator in charge for the technical test must therefore carefully check the exact features of
the vehicle.
11.7 Running the test
Select the item referred to the required function.
Press arrow keys to select the item and the confirmation key ().
After having checked connection with the instruments, the display
requires selecting the vehicle type.
Typical opacity values for the type of vehicle
are set based on this selection.
Press the confirmation key ().
If necessary (for some categories which can be selected), other data
regarding the vehicle are required.
To view and, if necessary, edit test data (limits, maximum power
rpm and engine oil temperature).
If it is different from the displayed one, enter the opacity limit

Vehicles belonging to categories PRE 72-306-EC are those registered
before 1/01/1980 and are not complying with Directive 72/306/EC, but with
the Appendix VIII Art. 237 of Italian Highway Code Regulation.

Vehicles belonging to categories EEV - FROM EURO 4 are those
complying with:
- line B of the table in section 5.3.1.4. of Annex I to Directive
70/220/EEC, as amended by Directive 98/69/EC (light duty commercial
diesel vehicles - Euro4)
