However, it is still possible to use a single probe, alternating it on different
exhausts.
7.1
Vehicle with multiple exhausts
Many of the two, three or four-wheeled circulating vehicles are equipped with
multiple exhausts. To make the work easier for the user, the tool has been
pre-set for operation in different configurations:
The operator can use just one probe to analyse one exhaust at a time, in
❑
this case if the emission values fall within the limits required by law, it is
sufficient to analyse the first exhaust.
The operator can insert as many probes as exhausts (up to a maximum of
❑
4) and analyse the total emission of gases from all exhausts.
The operator can insert as many probes as exhausts (up to a maximum of
❑
4) and analyse one exhaust at a time, by properly using the oil separator
taps.
NOTE: Depending on the number of selected exhausts and on whether a
multiple probe was chosen, during official emission tests, the program will ask
the operator to remove the probe from an exhaust and insert it into the next
one, but only if the first exhaust does not fall within the required limits.
