OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Before using the tool, read the
instruction book carefully.
Intended Use
The machine is intended for dry sanding of wood, plastic,
filler and coated surfaces.
1. FITTING THE SANDING PAPER (SEE FIG A,
B & C)
To fit the sanding paper, lift up the clamp lever and move
away from the clamp lever lock. The sanding paper clamp is
now loose. Repeat with the other clamp on the opposite side
of your sander.
To fit new sanding paper, insert approximately 5mm of
one end of the sanding paper under the sanding paper
clamp until the paper contacts the housing wall. Lift up the
clamp lever and move it to the lever lock position. Press
the sanding paper around the base plate shape as tight
as possible and fix the end under the other sanding paper
clamp.
Check the sanding paper is square to the base plate. If
not correct, remove and refit it again. Always, ensure the
sanding paper is tight over the base plate and secured
underneath both locked clamps. This will ensure safe and
efficient sanding performance.
2. USING THE DUST BOX
ATTACH THE DUST BOX (SEE FIG. D, E)
Your sander is equipped with a dust box. To attach, Push the
dust box onto the adaptor, then slide the box with adaptor
onto the outlet piece and take care that the latching lever
engages.
Caution: To prevent the possibility of sanding
dust or foreign body being thrown into your face or
eyes, never attempt to use your sander without the dust box
properly installed.
3. EMPTY THE DUST BOX (See Fig. F, G, H,I)
For more efficient operation, empty the dust box every
5-10mins. This will permit the air to flow through the box
better.
To empty the box, press the latching lever in and pull off the
box with adaptor. Pull the dust box out of the adaptor. Then
open the cover of dust cover and shake out dust.
4. ATTACHING SANDER TO VACUUM (SEE
FIG.J)
Your sander is equipped with a vacuum adapter, which is
14
designed for collect dust task. Insert the adapter into the
rear dust outlet of sander. Then pull the dust tube and make
sure it is tightened securely on the dust outlet. Then connect
the hose of a vacuum cleaner.
First please turn on the vacuum cleaner, and then turn on
the sander. If you stop sanding, first turn off the sander,
then turn off the vacuum cleaner.
Note!
Please always connect the adaptor with 32mm vacuum
hose.
5. OPERATING THE ON/OFF SWITCH (SEE
FIG. K)
Slide the on/off switch to the forward for operation, and
slide it backward to stop.
6. VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL (SEE FIG. L)
Adjust the variable speed control to increase or decrease
the speed according to the material and sanding sheet
specification to be used (also possible during no load
operation). See the table below for general guidance on
speed selection. Avoid prolonged use at very low speed as
this may damage your sander's motor.
