If you need to charge or recharge the battery pack, first connect the
charger to a power source.
Then remove the battery from the unit - press the button on the
battery case (this will release its locking mechanism) and keep it
pressed while pulling the battery towards the button to slide it off the
guides at the bottom of the unit - see 2 pictures below:
