CARE AND CLEANING
Internal Water Tank
The Wat er Full indicat or ("FL" on t he cont rol panel display)
illuminat es when t he int ernal wat er t ank has filled wit h
condensed wat er.
To Empt y t he Int ernal Wat er Tank:
1. Unplug or disconnect power.
2. Place a shallow 1 quart or larger pan (not included) below
t he lower drain locat ed on t he back (near t he bot t om) of
t he air condit ioner.
3. Remove t he cap and t he rubber plug and drain t he wat er
t ank.
4. Re- insert t he drain plug and screw t he cap snugly int o
place.
5. Plug in or reconnect power.
Storage
If t he unit is not being used for a long period of t ime:

1. Unplug or disconnect power.
How t o Insert t he Bat t eries in t he Remot e Cont rol
1. Remove t he bat t ery cover by sliding it according t o t he
arrow direct ion.
2. Insert new bat t eries, making sure t hat t he (+) and (–) of
bat t ery are inst alled correct ly.
3. Reat t ach t he cover by sliding it back int o posit ion.

2. Drain t he wat er from t he wat er t ank. (See "Int ernal Wat er
Tank sect ion" above.)
3. Use t he original packaging t o repack t he unit t o avoid a
buildup of dust or dirt .
4. St ore t he air condit ioner in a cool, dry locat ion.
NOTES:
• Use 2 "AAA" (1.5 volt ) alkaline bat t eries. Do not use
rechargeable bat t eries.
• Remove t he bat t eries from t he remot e cont rol if t he
syst em is not going t o be used for a long t ime.
• Do not mix old and new bat t eries. Do not mix alkaline,
st andard (carbon- zinc) or rechargeable (ni- cad, ni- mh, et c)
bat t eries.
