6.1 START-UP
To start the space heater (Fig. 1):
• Make sure the switch (A) is set to "0".
• Switch on power to the heater by means of the isolation switch on the power switchboard.
• Pre-select the post-ventilation mode (space heater cooling ventilation when the flame goes out) by setting the
switch (B) to position (0) for timed post-ventilation (90 seconds after the flame goes out, the fan will also stop) or
to position (I) for continuous post-ventilation (the fan continues to run).
• Move switch (A) to position (I).
• Operation is automatic only if a thermostat or other control device is connected to the thermostat plug (H).
• If after these operations, the generator does not work, refer to the "FAULTS, CAUSES AND REMEDIES" section and
find the cause.
Warning
In case of safety stop, you have to push the reset button (D) for 3 seconds to restart the heater.
Warning
NEVER do more than two restarts in a row: unburned fuel can accumulate in the combustion chamber and
suddenly flare up at the next restart.
6.2 STOP
To stop operation of the device, flip switch (A), to position (0), if operation is manual, or to the room thermostat if
operation is automatic.
Lastly, close the gas supply stopcock and turn off the isolation switch.
The flame goes out and the fan motor will continue to run until the combustion chamber has cooled down completely.
The flame goes out and the fan motor continues to work according to the preset mode (timed post-ventilation or
continuous post-ventilation).
Warning
Never stop the heater by simply turning off the disconnecting switch on the panel.
The electrical supply must be disconnected ONLY when the fan has come to a complete stop.
6.3 VENTILATION
If only the ventilation effect is desired, flip switch (B) to position (I) to start the machine; this starts the main fan
while the burner stays off.
