4.3 BATTERY BACKPACK
SETTING (IF PROVIDED)
The
battery
backpack
assembled (Fig.1.M) and can be detached
from the harness holder (Fig. 12) and carried
by hand.
To detach the battery pack, press the two top
buttons (Fig. 12.A).
The battery housings are located on both sides
of the backpack (Fig. 13)
On the right side of the backpack ther is:
• a cable socket (Fig. 14.A)
• a battery selector switch (fig. 14.B)
• a USB port for charging other devices (e.g.
mobile phones) (Fig. 14.C)
In order to avoid the presence of loose cables,
there are slots positioned on both sides and in
the back, which can be used to run the power
cable through.
5. CONTROLS
5.1 SAFETY BUTTON (ACTIVATION
/ DEACTIVATION DEVICE)
Press the safety button (Fig. 15.A) to
activate and deactivate the machine's
electrical circuit; the corresponding
LED switches on (Fig. 15.B).
Press the speed button (Fig.15.C)
to set the cutting speed; the 2
corresponding LEDs switch on
(Fig. 15.D). If work is interrupted
(without turning off the machine),
the machine will resume at
the previously set speed.
Lights off: the electrical circuit is com-
pletely deactivated (OFF).
IMPORTANT Do not keep
your finger on the button when 
moving the machine to avoid
accidentally enabling the machine.
The "Warning" icon (Fig. 15.E)
switches on in the event of
machine fault (refer to the
troubleshooting table, par. 14).

5.2 THROTTLE TRIGGER LEVER
It allows the activation of the chain.
The activation of the throttle trigger lever (Fig.
16.A), is possible only after that the throttle lock
buttom is pressed (Fig. 16.B).
The cutting means stops automatically
when the throttle safety lever is released.
5.3 INTERLOCK BUTTOM
The throttle lock lever (Fig. 16.B) allows the
throttle trigger buttom to be used (Fig. 16.A).
5.4 CHAIN BRAKE
This is a safety braking system that blocks the
chain movement when kickback occurs during
cutting. Kickbacks occur following an irregular
contact of the tip of the bar, with a rapid upward
movement of the bar that causes the hand to
strike the front guard (Fig. 1.D)
It must be manually released to disengage the
chain brake.
Chain brake engaged.
This is achieved when the
front hand guard is pushed
all the way forward.
Chain brake disengaged. This
is achieved when the front hand
guard is pulled all the way back,
towards the machine body,
until it clicks into position.
Do not use the machine if the chain
brake does not function correctly and
have it inspected by your dealer.
6. USING THE MACHINE
The safety regulations to follow are
described in chap. 2. Strictly comply with
these instructions to avoid serious risks or
dangers.
IMPORTANT For instructions regarding the
motor  and  the  battery  (if  supplied),  read  the 
relevant manuals.
6.1 PRELIMINARY PROCEDURES
Before starting to work, it is necessary to carry
out several checks and operations to ensure you
can work efficiently and in maximum safety.
