14 INSTALLATION AND FIXING
14.1
Installation
The Elber refrigerator, although made for harsh working conditions, should
preferably be installed protected from the sun at the top, and in a place that
allows ventilation of the compressor unit with the environment.
It was made to be fixed on the truck stringer, inside the ranch box under the
bodywork or embedded in furniture. It can encase the sides, provided that it
preserves an opening in the back of the box or mobile, necessary for heat
exchange with the environment and free space for air circulation (figure 04).
The compressor unit cannot be obstructed as it requires ventilation, thus
allowing the condenser and motor to be cooling simultaneously.
14.2 Fixation
Observe the form of fixation in figure 03. If necessary, the enclosure can be
used for fastening.
ATTENTION!
When fixing the refrigerator on top, insert screws and nuts into the
bottom of the clamp. When attaching underneath, insert screws and
nuts on the top of the clamp. If not inserted, the refrigerator can
loosen the clamp - Risk of refrigerator fall!
WARNING: Do not insert drills or screws more than 15mm, as it may pierce the
inside of the refrigerator.
WARNING: Whenever electric welding is used on the chassis or body; it is
extremely necessary (indispensable) that the cables (+) or (–) of the battery
that powers the refrigerator are disconnected to avoid electrical damage and
even the burning of the refrigerator.
15 WIRING
Elber refrigerators are designed to be powered by the vehicle's battery. Its
voltage is set at the factory at 12 or 24 VCC.
Check the voltage on the identification label.
