Mounting Rail Installation
1. Lay cross rails (item 1) across the frame rails, aligning mounting holes with the frame rail brackets (item 2-5)
installed in Figure 5.
2. Install the cross rails onto the frame mounting brackets as shown in Figure 6.
3. Check Puck mounting locations for squareness as shown in Figure 7 or using REESE MAX DUTY 5
Hitch 30947 or MAX DUTY Goose Hitch 30942.

DO NOT torque fasteners until aligned with bed holes (See Page 6)

Mounting Rail Installation- Torque Sequence

Tighten all hardware in the following order after alignment to drilled pickup bed holes (See Page 6)
1.
Tighten vertical M12x40mm bolts (item 13) to 93 ft-lb (126 Nm). Hardware near fuel tank
may require use of a crowfoot.
2.
Tighten frame bracket ½"-13 x 4.5" hex bolts (item 16) to 106 ft-lb (144 Nm) assuring that
inner and outer bracket locators are installed into their corresponding frame holes.
3.
Tighten frame brackets ½"-13 x 5.5" carriage bolts (item 11) to 85 ft-lb (115 Nm).
Reattach Brake Junction Bracket and Electrical Cable
1.
Position brake junction bracket on the driver's side frame rail and secure using the supplied
M8x30mm bolt (item 17) and tighten to 18 ft-lb (25 Nm).
2.
Reattach electrical cable to driver's side frame rail.
