The Mod. 075 PD clamp meter conforms to the following standards of the Euro-
pean Community: 89/336/EEC and 73/23/EEC.
Anyway, any electrical noise or intense electromagnetic field nearby may disturb
the measuring electrical circuit. This measuring instrument may also respond to
signals that are imponderable within the circuit.
The users shall be very careful and shall adopt proper precautions to prevent any
reading errors.
Precautions for use
• When using this instrument, carefully follow the safety regulations and the
operating instructions.
• Carefully read all the operating instructions before operating the instrument,
and be very careful of the notes in bold.
• Carefully check the instrument and the measuring leads before use, to search
for any damage or anomaly. If any anomaly is detected (e.g. broken leads, worn
insulation, damaged casing etc.) do not try to take measurements.
• Do not let the instrument under direct sunlight, frost or high temperatures.
• During the measurements, take your fingers behind the barriers of the leads.
• Do not use the instrument to measure currents that may exceed the maximum
rated value.
Maintenance
• Before opening the instrument, always disconnect it from any energized circuit.
• Never use the instrument if its back is not properly positioned and screwed.
• Never use solvents or abrasives on the instrument. To clean it, use a wet rug
and a mild detergent.
