INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Read these instructions carefully and note the safety instructions and
warnings. Use the appliance correctly and with care for the purpose for which
it is intended. Failure to do so may cause damage to property and/or serious
personal injury. Keep this instruction manual safe for future use.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SPECIFIC TO HAMMER/CHISEL DRILLS
• Use ear protection. Noise may cause loss of hearing.
• Use the additional handgrip included in the packaging.
Loss of control may cause injury.
• Always hold the machine by the insulated areas when
performing work where the tool may strike hidden power lines
or its own power cord. Contact with a live wire can also make metal
parts of the device live and could result in an electric shock.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Keep children and other persons away from your working area.
• Before you start work, always make sure that there are no electric cables, water pipes or similar
in the masonry that may sustain damage.
• Wear eye protection and use a dust mask if your work will create dust.
• Wear working gloves, as this will protect your hands from contusion and abrasions.
• Wear a helmet and, if applicable, install partition walls to protect yourself and staff members
from flying broken-off debris.
• Always hold the tool in both hands, and make sure you are standing firmly.
• Before you start working, always check that the chisel and bit are firmly secured into the chuck,
and will not spin out of the machine by accident.
• Check the chuck for damage and wear on a regular basis.
• Only start the tool in hammer-action when held firmly against a workpiece such as the wall or
ceiling.
• Unplug your tool from the mains before changing drill or chisel bits or after you finish work;
remove any chisel or drill bits from the drill after you finish work.
• Keep your tool out of children's reach, and do not let anyone use the machine without instruction.

Your hammer/chisel drill is intended for the following purpose:
• Drilling into stone and concrete
• Chiselling open joins in masonry and concrete
• Demolishing masonry
