Mounting the Wall Plate
1) Open package to find the wall plate.
Table of Contents
2) Position the wall plate in the desired location on the
wall, then level and mark the hole positions.
3) Use the mounting hardware provided in the
packaging to install the drywall anchors to the wall.
4) Mount the wall plate to the drywall anchors using
the provided 2x M3.5x19mm screws.
Note: Do not over tighten the screws. Tighten
only until the wall plate no longer moves.
Connecting the Wires
Make sure power is off to the indoor unit before per-
forming any of the following steps.
1a) Connect the adapter cable to the CN105
connector on the indoor unit control board.
b) Mount the adapter to a stable location near the
indoor unit, or if possible, inside the indoor unit.
Note: Length of wire NOT to exceed
17m (55 ft) to ensure signal integrity
2) Run 18AWG, 4 conductor (minimum) wire from the
adapter to the wall plate, and
connect the A/B/C/D wires as shown below.

Note: If the outdoor unit is a multi-zone model
with a branch box (i.e., MXZ), all address and
dipswitch settings must be configured before
connecting the SDW01 to the indoor unit.
Connect this end to
SDW01 wall plate via
18AWG, 4 conductor
(minimum) wire
Connect this end to
the CN105 connector
on the indoor unit
control board
