Cutter Module (PA-CU-002, PA-CU-003)

NOTE
Only Authorized Brother Dealers should perform accessory replacements.
1. Open the printer's Top Cover and push the print head release button to open the
print head.
2. Remove the lower front panel.
3. Close the print head.
4. Remove the four screws on the media holder and then remove it, as illustrated
below.
5. Push the Cutter Module's cable and ground line through the slot into the main board
compartment.

1. Open the printer's Top Cover and push the print head release button to open the
print head.
2. Remove the lower front panel.
3. Push the Cutter Module's cable and ground line through the slot into the main board
compartment.

6. Slide the Cutter Module into the lower front panel slot until it locks into place.
7. Connect the cable and ground line to the CON6 and JP2 sockets on the main board.
(The ground line can be connected to any available JP2 socket.)
8. Reattach the media holder using the four screws.
9. To complete the installation, load the media before you turn on the printer.

4. Slide the Cutter Module into the lower front panel slot until it locks into place, and
then close the Top Cover.
5. Turn over the printer. Remove the six screws on the bottom cover and then remove
it, as illustrated below.
(To avoid scratching the LCD screen, place the printer on a soft cloth.)

6. Connect the cable and ground line to the CON6 and JP2 sockets on the main board.
(The ground line can be connected to any available JP2 socket.)

7. Reattach the Bottom Cover using the six screws.
8. To complete the installation, load the media before you turn on the printer.
