12.1. Operational states
These machines have a bright LED, inside the main body, which can adopt three different colours depending
on the operating state it is in.
- Running state (white LED). Indicates that the machine is ready to operate. Press the green ON switches to start
up the barrel and the trimming reels and to select the desired speed with the potentiometers. At any time, pressing
the red OFF switches, operation stops and it will be resumed with the ON switches again.
- Emergency stop state (red LED). Indicates that the emergency stop button is interlocked, i.e., active. The machine
cannot operate and will not resume operation, even if the green ON switches are pressed. To deactivate this state,
the emergency stop button must be unlocked by turning the emergency stop button, thus switching to the reset
state.
Remember that the emergency stop button can also be activated at any time in the other
two states described in this section.
- Reset status (blue LED). Indicates that the machine needs to be reset. In this state the machine will not operate,
even if the green ON switches are pressed. To deactivate and switch to the running state, it is necessary to press
the blue reset switch.
As a safety precaution, if one of the following conditions is met:
- An unexpected restoration of the electrical power supply.
- An opening of the main swing gate.
- An overheating or anomaly of the motor.
the reset state will be activated and the motors of the machines will be switched off and remain switched off, even
if the power supply is resumed or the green ON-switches are pressed.
The suction system has a separate control panel independent from that of the machines. Consult the correspon-
ding product use and maintenance manual to understand its operation.
