NOTES ON CIRCUITS AND DEVICES
The power supply that feeds the inverter must have a grounded
neutral. For IT networks some internal components must be
disconnected as shown in
figures 17
Provide a disconnect device for the input power supply of the
inverter. This device must disconnect the input power supply for
the inverter when needed (for instance, during servicing).
Use high speed fuses at the input for the protection of the inverter
rectifier and wiring. Refer to
tables A.1
appropriate fuse rating (I
t must be equal to or less than indicated in
2
tables, considering the cold (and not the fusion) current extinction
value).
In order to meet UL requirements, use class J fuses at the inverter
supply with a current not higher than the values of
A.2.
Optionally, slow blow fuses can be used at the input. They must be
sized for 1.2 x the rated input current of the inverter. In this case,
the installation is protected against short-circuit, but not the inverter
input rectifier. This may result in higher damage to the inverter in
the event of an internal component failure.
Suitable for use on a circuit capable of delivering not more than
100.000 rms symmetrical Ampères at 240 V or 480 V maximum,
when protected by Class J fuses.
If the CFW-11 inverters are installed in a circuit capable of
delivering more than 100.000 A
to install adequate protection devices such as fuses or circuit
breakers.
Motor shielded cable recommended according to IEC 60034-25.
