4.4.1 Gateway Power Supply
The product provides you with two power source options: Power over Ethernet (PoE) and DC 12 V connector.
4.4.1.1 Power Over Ethernet (POE)
The PoE power supply allows the ethernet cable to power the gateway, enabling the use of just one cable for data
transmission and power in case of using communication via ethernet. The product comes with a passive PoE
power supply included in the package, which is the option WEG recommends. If the user already has a PoE system
implemented in the product installation environment, it can be used, since the X2000 gateway is compatible with
the IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 820.3at standards.
4.4.1.2 DC 12 V Connector
This type of power supply is not included in the product. If you use this type of source, check the following
characteristics when purchasing it:
- The output voltage of the source must be 12 V.
- The power of the source must be 12 W or more (equal to or greater than 12 V 1 A).
- The DC connector must have an internal diameter of 2.5 mm, an external diameter of 5.5 mm, and the 12 V
voltage must be inside the connector.
4.4.2 Gateway Connection to the Internet
For the correct operation of the gateway together with the online platform, the product needs to establish an
internet connection. The image below shows the three internet connection options for the Cassia X2000.
