4.4.2.3 Connection via Ethernet
The Cassia X2000 gateway can be connected to an Ethernet network with a speed of 10 to 100 Mbps. The way
the gateway obtains the IP address of the network can be configured for either DHCP or fixed, adapting to the
type of network available. It is the type of internet connection recommended for the application since it has a more
stable connection and does not interfere with the Bluetooth application (discussed later).
NOTE!
If the network that will be used to connect the Cassia X2000 gateway to the internet has a firewall,
it will be necessary to release domains, IP addresses and communication ports for the correct
operation of the product. The lack of such Firewall configuration may result in the incorrect start of
the application, causing undesirable behavior and even invalidating its use. If that occurs, contact
WEG's Customer Service to reinstall the software on the product. The table of domains, IP addresses
and communication ports to be released can be found in Appendix A. In addition to the table, use
the corresponding task list to facilitate firewall setup.
4.4.3 Gateway Connection Along with Bluetooth Sensors
The gateway connection with WEG Bluetooth sensors is essential for the application operation. Some care must
be taken to make the most of the product, since Bluetooth communication has limitations that must be respected.
In the next sections, some points that must be considered when installing and configuring the Cassia X2000
gateway and the WEG Bluetooth sensors will be discussed.
4.4.3.1 Install the Gateway at a Point with a Clear View of the Sensors
The more obstacles between the Cassia X2000 gateway and the WEG Bluetooth sensors, the worse the
communication between them will be. Some materials are worse for the Bluetooth signal than others.

4.4.3.2 Avoid Using Wireless Systems that Use the 2.4 GHz Frequency
The 2.4 GHz frequency is widely used in Wi-Fi networks and systems that communicate via Bluetooth or Zigbee
protocol. The more systems running on the 2.4 GHz frequency in the same physical space, the more interference
these systems will suffer from each other.
For better communication between the Cassia X2000 gateway and WEG Bluetooth sensors, it is recommended
not to use the 2.4 GHz frequency in other systems in the installed area. If possible, use an ethernet network to
connect the gateway to the internet, as the use of 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi can interfere with the speed at which the sensors
obtain data.
