4.5 INSTALLATION STEPS
The Cassia X2000 gateway installation steps must be followed in the order indicated in the manual.
To help the user in this process, a list of installation tasks can be found at the end of the manual where you can
keep a record of what has already been done and what still needs to be done.
4.5.1 Connecting the Power Supply
There are two options for powering the product: via PoE or via DC 12 V connector. Follow the steps corresponding
to the power supply mode chosen for your installation.
ATTENTION!
Do not use two power sources at the same time. Observe the power supply specifications presented
in the
Chapter 3 TECHNICAL DATA on page
4.5.1.1 Via PoE
Remove the ETH/PoE silicone plug (M22 x 1.5) on the bottom, pass the Ethernet cable through the cable gland,
insert the RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of the X2000 and tighten the cable gland in the order (a), (b) and
(c). The torque in step (c) must be smaller than the torque in step (a).

ATTENTION!
If you need to remove the cable gland, remove it in the order (c), (b) and (a). If you do not follow this
reverse procedure, the cable will twist and consequently be damaged.
