NOTICE: Before putting the new appliance into operation, we recommend leaving it assembled and switched on
without fruit for about 30 minutes. Then, for hygienic reasons, wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth
and wash the drying sieves in warm water. When using the dehydrator for the first time, the smoke or odour produced
during this process is normal. Ensure adequate ventilation.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The appliance is designed to dry foods (fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, mushrooms, meat, etc.).
Water evaporates during food drying. The appliance uses the principle of an even flow of warm air ensuring that the
food is not burnt and it is dried evenly.
If you soak the sliced fruit in a weak solution of lemon juice, it will retain its light colour and will not turn brown.
Hard vegetables (carrots, celery) can be immersed in hot water for 1-2 minutes before drying and then dried. This will
help to retain its taste and drying will take less time.
1. First wash and dry the fruits and vegetables. Cut off pieces that are of poor quality (rotten, beaten, etc.). To speed
up the drying process, you can remove the seeds, cut out the cores or peel the skin. You can glaze or soak the fruit
in honey, spices or some juice to adapt its taste to your requirements.
2. Cut the food into slices and distribute the slices evenly on drying sieves. Do not stack the slices on top of each
other, there should be a small gap between the individual slices. Leave at least 10 % of the drying sieve area free
to maintain airflow.
3. There should always be a lid on the operating dehydrator. Never place any objects on the lid during operation of the
appliance and always leave the recirculation vent open. This ensures optimal airflow and even drying. Also make
sure that there is enough space around the appliance, the dehydrator sucks in air from the bottom side.
4. Plug in the appliance and press the control knob (F). The displays show the preset time 10:00 (C) as well as the preset
temperature 50 °C (D).
5. Press the right button (B) to set the drying time. After the first press of the button, you can set the number of hours
with the control knob (F). Press the button (B) again to set the number of minutes (within ten minutes) with the
control knob. The drying time can be set from 10 minutes to 48 hours. Now press the button (B) again to confirm
the timer setting.
6. Press the button (A) to set the temperature. Then use the control knob (F) to set the required temperature between
35 °C to 70 °C. If the fan indicator (E) flashes, the appliance is heating up. When the dehydrator reaches the desired
temperature, the indicator goes out.
7. After the time period set by the timer has passed, the dehydrator beeps, the display shows "OFF" and switches off
after a while.
8. To switch off the appliance before the end of the set time period, press the control knob.
9. The dehydrator fan will continue to run. Wait until the appliance cools down completely.
CAUTION: Food must be sufficiently dried to prevent spoilage!
Properly dried vegetable should be dry and brittle.
Properly dried fruit should be leathery and flexible.
Properly dried mushrooms should be leathery to brittle.
Properly dried herbs should be crumbly.
PACKING AND STORAGE OF DRIED FOODS
The foods must be completely cooled before storage (otherwise it could become damp and spoil). Wait approximately
1 week before packing the foods for long-term storage.
We recommend packing the dried pieces in small numbers so that you can use up the entire package after opening it.
We recommend storing the dried foods in shot glasses, or in cloth or paper bags.

METHODS OF CONSUMPTION OF DRIED FOODS
1. Foods can be consumed or processed in a dried state.
2. Before consumption or processing, foods can be soaked as follows:
Fill a pot with cold water, immerse dried pieces in it and let them swell in the fridge for 1-8 hours, depending on the
type of food. The volume of food can be doubled.
In order to preserve the nutritional value of dried vegetables, you can continue to cook and prepare them in this
water.
