- Adjusting burner output

NB: burner regulation must always be
carried out using the combustion analy-
sis tool.
Gas throttle adjusting: operate on steel
spring adjusting the screw 3.
Air damper adjustment: leva (A)
Gas pressure adjustment: see gas train
documents.
The burner is supplied with the head and
the air damper in an intermediate position.
- Light the burner and keep it in low flame
using the switch on the control panel
- Check the combustion and adjust it
changing the gas flow rate using the
Allen key
- Through the switch, increase the power
step by step stopping at each step in
order to check and adjust the gas flow
rate
- If the maximum firing rate is got before
getting the full opened position of the air
damper and the throttle, adjust the head
by moving it towards the minimum flame
position and reduce the gas pressure at
the gas train outlet, at the same time in-
crease the opening of the air damper
and of the throttle
- If the maximum firing rate is not got
when the servomotor is at full opened
position, increase the air damper ope-
ning and if not enough, moving the head
towards the maximum flame position;
further, increase the gas pressure on the
gas train
Now the burner is set at its maximum firing
rate. Air damper and throttle are at their
full opened position. Still checking the
combustion parameters, decrease the bur-
ner output acting on the switch and stop in
the intermediate positions for checking the
combustion. The minimum firing rate can
be set by means of the relevant cam on
the servomotor.
Firing head setting (C).
The firing head position adjustment is made
in order to obtain the best combustion effi-
ciency. When used with minimum outputs
the firing head is adjusted in rear position.
!
Risk of air blast!
Continuously check CO, CO 2 and soot emissions when adjusting the output of the burner. Optimise combustion values in the
event of CO formation. CO must not exceed 50 ppm.

With high output, the firing head is adjusted
in forward position. Adjustment:
• loosen screw V through a suitable Allen
key.
• by a screwdriver act on the hex. head
screw U until is reached the desired posi-
tion.
• tighten screw V.
Adjustment of gas solenoid valve
Refer to the gas train manual for the gas
setting of the gas train selected.
N.B. observe the minimum required
flue gas temperature specified by the
boiler manufacturer and the requirements
demanded of flue gas ducts for avoiding
condensation.
