6. Troubleshooting

If during your work the functioning of the pipet controller is incorrect, check the cause
and remove the fault.
Problem
The pipet falls out
(the holding force
of the pipet is too small),
or tilts to the side too much.
The pump is working, but
the pipet controller aid does
not draw liquid or draws
liquid very slowly.
Liquid leaks from the pipet
(the aspiration
and the dispense buttons
are not pressed).
If the above actions do not help, the device shall be sent to the nearest authorized service
center.
Before being serviced, the pipet controller should be cleaned and decontaminated.
Written details including the precise specification of solutions used and the type
of laboratory in which the device was used, should be sent with the product.
Possible Cause
The pipet holder is dirty or
wet (Figure 1G).
The pipet holder is damaged.
The filter is dirty (Figure 1H).
The pipet holder
and/or the connector gasket
is damaged (Figure 1J).
The pipet is damaged.
The pipet is inserted incor-
rectly.
The pipet holder, the filter,
or the connector gasket
is installed incorrectly.
The pipet holder and/or the
connector gasket is damaged
(Figure 1G, Figure 1J).

Action
Take out the pipet holder,
then clean, wash, and dry it.
Replace the holder with
a new one.
Take out the pipet holder,
take out the filter,
if it is dirty, replace it with
a new one.
Replace the mechanically
damaged elements with
new ones.
Check the pipet for damage
(cracks, dents). If present,
repla ce the pipet with
a new one.
Check whether the pipet has
been correctly inserted in the
holder.
Check whether all parts are
pre sent and correctly
installed.
Replace the mechanically
damaged elements with
new ones.
