SPARK DEFLECTOR

To effectively deflect sparks away from sur-
rounding persons and materials, loosen the
screw, adjust the spark deflector, and then re-
tighten screw (Fig. 4).
MOUNTING SAW TO WORKBENCH
The cut-off saw should al-
WARNING
ways be used on a stable and
level surface.
If the saw is to be used in a permanent location,
it should be fastened securely to a firm support-
ing surface, such as a stand or workbench, us-
ing the two mounting holes and screws and nuts
(Fig. 5).
When mounting the saw to a workbench, holes
should be drilled through the supporting surface
of the workbench and an opening MUST be
made within the opening area in the bottom of
the saw so the saw dust can drop through the
hole and the saw can still be supported by the
workbench .
Each of the two mounting holes should be bolt-
ed securely using 5/16" screws and nuts (not
included). Screw lengths should extend through
the base of the saw and 1" longer than the thick-
ness of the bench top .
1. Locate and mark where the saw is to be
mounted.
2. Drill two (2) 3/8" diameter holes through
workbench .
3. Place the saw on the workbench, aligning the
holes in the base with the holes drilled in the
workbench .
4. Insert two (2) 5/16" screws and tighten the
corresponding hex nuts.
