5. Mount the Switch to 19'' rack
5.1 Attach the brackets to the device by using the screws provided in the Rack Mount kit.
5.2 Mount the device in the 19' rack by using four rack-mounting screws provided by the
rack manufacturer.
5.3 When installing multiple switches,
mount them in the rack one below
the other.

6. Power the unit and connect to network Cable
6.1 Connect the power supply; the terminal block is for low voltage DC input, and the
AC socket is for high voltage AC/DC input.
6.2 Connect the 10/100M Copper Port: Connect the network nodes to the switch
with 2/4-pair CAT5 UTP cable. The 10/100M interfaces support auto MDI/MDIX.
6.3 Connect the 100Base-FX SFP transceiver: Plug in 100Base-FX SFP fiber transceiver.
Connect transmit channel to receive channel at the opposite end using LC type Fiber cable.
6.4 Connect the 100Base-FX Single or Multi mode SC type Connector. Connect transmit
channel to receive channel at the opposite end using SC type Fiber cable.
6.5 Connect the Gigabit Copper Port: Connect the network node to the JetNet 5628G
with 4-pair CAT5 UTP cable. The on board 1000Base-T ports support 10/100/1000Mbps
and auto MDI/MDIX.
6.6 Connect the Gigabit SFP transceiver of the on board SFP sockets: Plug in Gigabit
SFP fiber transceiver. Connect transmit channel to receive channel at the opposite end
using LC type Fiber cable. The 4 On board SFP sockets support 1000Base-X Single or
Multi mode Fiber transceiver.
Attach the bracket!!
Note: Check if the rack environment
temperature conforms to the specified
operating temperature range. Do not place any
equipment on top of the switch and please
properly ground it.
