WARNING! UV radiation!
▶ Never operate the UVC lamp outside the appliance. Unintended use of the appliance or damage to
the housing may result in the emission of dangerous UVC radiation. UVC radiation can cause injury
to eyes and skin, even at low dosage levels.
1. Insert the provided UVC lamp into the pond clarifier.
(see chapter Maintenance - replacing the lamp).
Attaching the UVC clarifier to a solid base (⌦A)
For a secure fitting, you can attach the UVC clarifier to a solid base (e.g. a wooden or metal plate). To do so,
proceed as follows:
1. Drill the corresponding fixing holes.
2. Screw the UVC clarifier onto the wooden or metal plate.
If you want to operate the UVC clarifier without a solid base, you must ensure that the UVC clarifier is
stable on its supports.
Attaching the UVC clarifier to an EHEIM LOOP flow-through filter (⌦B)
Attach the UVC clarifier as described in the LOOP flow-through filter operating manual.
Fitting the hoses (⌦E/F)
1. Use a saw to shorten the connecting piece to the diameter of your hose (⌦C).
2. Place the sealing washer ③ between the screw connection on the housing and connecting piece ②
(⌦D).
3. Screw the connecting piece onto the screw connection with the union nut ①.
4. Connect the hose to the corresponding connecting piece.
We recommend fastening the hoses onto the connecting piece with hose clamps.
Operation
Switching on the UVC clarifier/pump
DANGER! Electric shock!
▶ Place the UVC clarifier at a minimum of 2 m from the pond bank.
CAUTION! Material damage.
▶ ▶ Never operate the UVC clarifier without a water flow. The water serves to cool the UVC lamp.
1. Place the UVC clarifier on a stable surface, attach the UVC clarifier to a solid base or to the LOOP
flow-through filter.
2. Install the corresponding hose connections.
3. Insert the mains plug of the pump in the mains socket. Attention: The pump starts immediately!
4. Insert the mains plug in the mains socket. Attention: The UVC clarifier is immediately ready for
operation!
The transparent screw connections illuminate when the UVC lamp is working properly.
