Turn on the unit and, with the spike of the caliper fully
retracted, place the unit with the side of the spike against
the tire tread. The extended spike must be parallel to the
tread and hit the groove in the tread.
With the side of the calliper still resting on the tread, pull

the calliper spike out until it stops, i.e. when its tip rests
on the bottom of the tread groove.

Read the value.
B. Measuring tire pressure

Turn on the unit and select the pressure measurement
function.
•
Place the top of the unit with the pressure measuring tip
on the thread of the (car) air valve and press it down for
about 2 seconds making sure it is tightly fitted to the
thread so that no air escapes (no hissing sound).
•
During the measurement, when the indicated pressure
value stabilizes, take off the unit and read the value.
