1. Safety Instructions
1.1. General safety instructions
Non-hazardous working with this unit is only possible if the relevant operating instructions and the safety instructions have been read completely
and if the instructions contained therein are strictly adhered to.
Use
In the event of incorrect use or modifications to the device, the manufacturer's warranty and liabilities shall be deemed invalid.
The voltage specifications on the type plate must match the voltage specifications of the power source.
Check all the components before each use
Damaged parts should only be repaired by a qualified professional or the manufacturer. If repairs are carried out improperly, accidents can be the
result for the operator. Always use genuine replacement parts if any repairs are required.
Keep all unauthorised persons away from the unit
Make sure that unauthorised persons, particularly children, do not have access to the unit.
Keep your workspace clean and tidy
An untidy workspace increases the risk of accidents.
Protect the connecting lines
Do not use the connection cable to pull out the plug or to carry the device around. Ensure that the connecting cable does not come into contact
with heat, oil or sharp edges. Damaged connecting cables can cause fires, short-circuits and electric shocks.
Observe the environmental influences
Protect your unit from fluids and moisture, otherwise there is a danger of fire or electrocution.
Take care of your unit
Always keep the product in a safe, dry place out of the reach of children. Observe any maintenance regulations. Check your unit at regular
intervals. Only use genuine accessories and spare parts.
National and international regulations
National and international safety, health and occupational safety regulations must be observed and complied with.
Wear appropriate working clothes
Do not wear baggy clothing or jewellery because they could be grabbed by moving parts. When working outdoors, we recommend wearing
rubber gloves and non-slip footwear.
Wear a hairnet if you have long hair.
Wear safety goggles
Also, wear a mask if the work is dusty.
Extension cable outdoors
Use only approved and appropriately marked extension cables when working outdoors.
1.2. Safety instructions for battery-operated tools
• Tools operated with a separate battery pack must only be charged with the charger specifically provided for this battery pack. The use of other
battery packs can present a danger of fire.
• Take care with inadvertent switching on: The switch must be in the "0" position before inserting the battery pack.
• Remove the battery pack or move the setting wheel to the "0" position before carrying out any settings, changing accessories or before packing
the tool away for storage.
• When the battery pack is not being used, it should not be placed near metallic objects, such as paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other
small metallic objects that could create a connection between the contacts.
• Always hold the unit securely in your hand during starting.
