The SERVOX ® digital XL speech aid complete set will be referred to as the SERVOX
This instruction manual is intended for patients, relatives and medical staff.
The SERVOX digital XL can be used in the home and clinical setting by patients from about 2.5 years of age. Children between 2.5 and 12

years of age or patients with cognitive disorders should only use the SERVOX

1.1 Intended purpose

The SERVOX speech aids offer patients, who have lost their voice due to injury, illness or surgical removal of the larynx, the opportunity to

quickly regain the ability to communicate.

The SERVOX ® speech aids can also be used by patients who are temporarily voiceless due to a tracheotomy, who have to protect their vocal

folds due to illness or who are connected to a respirator.

Even patients who are comfortable using the oesophageal voice can use the SERVOX
19 phone calls, at business meetings, when they are tired, sick or very stressed, in an emergency, or in settings where speaking in a loud voice is
