Before starting the work, check the rotation of the
power take-off, the rotation should not be greater
than 540 rpm, also check the inclination and if the
machine is leaning on the ground to avoid damages
in the shredder and cause the loss of warranty.
Check the minimum and maximum length of
the TDP that are required for the coupling of the
machine/tractor. In case of problems, contact the
TRAPP Technical Assistant.
Notes:
The pieces cut from the solid and tubular
parts of the cardan shall have the same
length.
Allow at least 2.5 cm on each end of the
cardan.
Instructions
for
maintaining and installing the cardan guard
chain are described in the manufacturer's
manual, which is attached to the cardan.
Observe if as the machine moves the male
and female cardan shaft are approaching to
the extent of touching, if this occurs turn off
the power take-off immediately.
Disassemble the male and female cardan
shaft and re-cut to allow a clearance of at
least 1 to 2 centimeters between the ends of
the cardan shaft.
It is not recommended to work with the male
and female cardan shafts without clearance;
this may damage the power take-off shafts of
the tractor and the shredder.
To perform maneuvers, remove one of the
cardan shaft parts.
When it is at its maximum opening, the
plastic safety guards and shafts must be
overlapped by at least 1/3 of their length (LT).
When it is in its maximum closing position,
the minimum permitted distance is 1 to 2 cm.
Keep the male and female terminals of the
cardan shaft aligned.
Do not stop the tractor power take-off
suddenly, except for safety. A sudden stop
can damage the equipment transmission
system.

Notes:
Fit the male and female parts of the cardan
shaft and attach the female side to the shaft of
the power take-off shaft of the shredder, and
then attach the male cardan shaft to the shaft
of the tractor power take-off until it clicks,
showing that it is in the correct position on
both sides.
After assemble and adjusting the guard chain,
move the tilt of the tractor hydraulics and
check the clearance between the male and
female cardan positioning the machine at the
recommended inclination of at most 15°.
These operations must only be carried out on
suitable ground and only after stopping the
tractor, turning off the power take-off and
pulling the parking brake. If necessary, lift the
machine above the ground. But for everyone's
safety, place it on a stand, thus avoiding any
accident that could be caused by a sudden
fall.
Measurement of the cut:
Dividing the measurement found between shafts by 1.3 will
provide the measure to cut the cardan shaft.
