Electric
All TRAPP Shredders, single-phase or three-phase,
are assembled with dual voltage motors. They leave
factory without electrical connection to allow the
customer to choose the kind of connection based
on the voltage of their property power source.
For shredders sold without motor, the choice of
the minimum power shall follow the technical data
shown on page 28.
For motors of power higher than 5cv, it is
recommended to use a delta-star switch to
start them. The model suggested is ETW (WEG
Acionamentos) or a similar one.
As the on/off switch is distant from the shredder,
install an emergency button in the equipment in
case immediate switching off is necessary.
Attention!
Before making any kind of connection,
make
sure
disconnected.
1. Make sure that the power source where the
shredder will be installed is compatible with
the data on the motor plate.
2. Disconnect the power source to make motor
connections.
3. Make the connections shown on the
nameplate of the wiring diagram on the
motor according to the mains voltage.
4. Make sure the connections are well insulated.
5. Turn on power source and check the
rotation of the motor. If necessary, reverse
the electrical connection as indicated on
the motor nameplate so that it works in the
correct direction of rotation.

Gasoline
Gasoline motors leave the factory without oil and
gasoline, before switching on, check the oil level
and fill oil in the crankcase and gasoline in the fuel
tank.
Avoid using gasoline more than 7 days off to avoid
motor malfunction.
Fill the tank with care to avoid spilling fuel.
Fuel only with regular gas (not premium).
Note the amount of oil in the crankcase and
gasoline in the tank according to the motor model,
so check the motor manual.
Gas tank capacity: Check the engine manual.
Note: For further information on operation, see engine's
manual.
