Checking
Before operating the shredder check:
If there are tools or objects on the motor or on the

equipment, mainly inside the grain funnel or the
green crop feeder.
If there is something obstructing the motor.

If the rotation direction is correct.

If electric power supply coincides with voltage of

the motor.
If the gasoline motor contains oil in the crankcase

and gasoline in the tank.
If there are people or objects near pulleys and belts.

If the shredder cover is properly closed.

If the counter cutting blade is properly set and fixed

(page 41).
If the cutter assembly is securely attached to the

machine shaft and the knife is not colliding with the
counter knife.
Notes:
If the equipment is properly prepared,

start the motor, allow it to reach maximum
revolution and start working.
Keep both diesel and gasoline motors running

for some minutes for them to reach normal
working temperature.
Note:
Never leave a diesel or gasoline motor

running in a confided area or without proper
ventilation. The gas from the exhaust contains
carbon monoxide which is inodorous and
lethal.

Operation Instructions
Turning on the gasoline motor

Tensioning the belt

Image merely illustrative
Figure 7
Make sure that the motor is filled with standard
gasoline in the tank and oil in the sump.
Check if the belt is not tensioned, turn the ignition
switch to the "ON" position and open the fuel
valve. Engage the choke lever, accelerate the
motor slightly, and pull the retractable start lever
until the motor runs. Some models with gasoline
engine have an electric starter, in which case it is
not necessary to pull the rewind starter cable.
As soon as the motor starts to warm up, return the
choke lever to the starting position, accelerate the
motor to the ideal working speed.
To turn off the engine in an emergency situation,
turn off the engine's On/Off switch. Under normal
circumstances, to turn off the engine, close the
fuel valve and leave the engine running until all
the fuel is used up, then turn off the On/Off switch.
For more information on operation, see the engine
manual.
The engine shall only be turned on if the belt
stretcher lever (1) is in the relief position, that is,
without tensioning the belt, as shown in Figure 7.
