4. Set the burst period.
Press Burst Period and set the period to 20 ms using the numeric keypad or the knob and arrows. The burst period
sets the time from the start of one burst to the start of the next burst. At this point, the instrument outputs a
continuous three-cycle burst at 20 ms intervals.
You can generate a single burst (with the specified count) by pressing the [Trigger] key. For more information, see
Trigger a Sweep or
Burst.
You can also use the external gate signal to create gated bursts, where a burst is produced while a gate signal is
present on the input.
