Before the first use
· Start by carefully reading the instructions for use and the safety
instructions.
· Then remove all packaging materials.
· Wipe the housing with a soft cloth, slightly damp, if necessary.
Afterwards dry off thoroughly.
· Clean the grill top with hot water only, some dishwashing detergent
and a solid sponge. Do not use any abrasive cleansers or sponges. Do
not immerse the grill top in water and do not clean it in the dishwasher.
Dry it off carefully before you place it on the appliance. Make sure that
the connection element is completely dry.
· Position the rectangular grease-collecting tray exactly in the centre in
the rectangular recesses in the bottom plate. Place the grill top on the
appliance with the coated side facing upwards. Apply gentle pressure
so that it engages on the connection element in the housing. The
appliance can only be operated when the grill top is completely
engaged.
· Heat the empty device for approx. 10 minutes; the slight smoke and
odor that will probably be produced is completely harmless. This is only
protective oil, which was applied during production. Ensure good
ventilation of the room during this period!
Use
· Use a washable, heat resistant surface because of the possible risk of
spattering.
· Place the grease-collecting tray on the bottom plate. Place the grill top
on the appliance. Make sure that it is completely engaged in the
connection element.
· Plug the power cord into a suitable socket and press the
switch on the appliance. The control lamp switches on.
· Select the desired temperature level. The corresponding control lamp
blinks while the appliance is heating up. Once it illuminates
continuously, the desired temperature has been reached. You can adjust
the temperature at any time by pressing the appropriate button.
· You can now grill the prepared food on the grill top.
· Note: In order to protect the non-stick coating of the grill top, use
wooden or heat-resistant plastic utensils to turn and remove the food.
Do not cut on the grill top. Do not leave any utensils that can melt or
deform on the hot grill top.
· After use, switch off the appliance, always pull the plug and allow the
appliance to cool down completely.
Tips and tricks
· Cut the meat or fish into equal pieces.
· Lightly brush meat or solid fish with oil before you place it on the grill
top. As an alternative, you can marinate it first.
· Take the food out of the refrigerator approximately 30 minutes before
you start grilling, so that it can take on room temperature.
