2.2.3 Usage in accordance with the
instructions
The Sulzer B9XX electric dispenser is used to mix and apply
2-component material, or apply 1-component materials. It may
only be operated using cartridges and mixers that are approved
for the force the dispenser provides (see the force on the identifi-
cation plate 1.3). Warning : If cartridges and mixers are too weak,
a risk of bursting and spraying of material is present.
The technical specifications in «3.4 Technical data» list the
binding limits of use and technical data of the device. Use in
accordance with the instructions also includes observance of the
instructions in these operating instructions as well as the qualifi-
cations required of the personnel. The manufacturer is not liable
for any damages arising from any other or additional use that is
not in accordance with the instructions. This risk is brought on
solely by the operator!
2.2.4 Usage not in accordance with the
instructions
Use / using of the dispenser without appropri-

ate instruction.
Removing the warning plates on the device.
■ ■
Careless handling in the vicinity of open fire/
■ ■
flames or energy sources that represent a po-
tential risk of explosion and fire.
Use / using of the dispenser near flammable
■ ■
liquids or gasses.
The dispenser will create sparks, and a risk of
ignition would be present.
Using cartridges and mixers that are not appro-
■ ■
ved for the force the dispenser provides .(see
the force on the id-plate 1.3)
The dispenser is not grounded, so there is a
■ ■
risk of electric shock, so the dispenser should
not be used close to electrical environment.
Making changes to the device without the per-
■ ■
mission of the manufacturer.
Using accessories or spare parts from other
■ ■
manufacturers without approval of Sulzer Mix-
pac Denmark A/S.
If not used in accordance with the instructions,
■ ■
there is a risk of death, injuries to persons, or
damage to property. The manufacturer accepts
no liability for such damages/injuries! This risk
is brought on solely by the operator!
2.3 General safety regulations
2.3.1 Modification
IIt is forbidden to make any modifications or repairs to the device.

2.3.2 Power supply
The power supply values in «3.4 Technical data» are binding for
the power connection.
2.3.3 Accessories
Compatible accessories supplied by Sulzer Mixpac may be used.
2.4 Responsibilities
2.4.1 Storage of the operating instruction
These operating instructions must be kept ready and within re-
ach at all times to all persons working with the dispenser. The
place at which the operating instructions are stored must be
clearly marked by the operator.
2.4.2 Duties of the manufacturer
The manufacturer is responsible for perfectly safe technical
delivery of the product, including warning signs and operating
instructions.
2.4.3 Duties of the operator
Training and technical skills:

The operator ensures that all activities at the dispenser are
only carried out by authorized persons. With special emphasis
on the residual dangers and safety instructions, based on
these operating instructions. The operator clearly assumes
responsibility.
Instruction regarding dangers/hazards:
■ ■
The operator ensures that all personnel have been instructed
regarding all existing residual dangers and that work is only
carried out on the device based on these operating instruc-
tions. As well as all relevant safety aids/tools and instructions
are provided on them.
Due diligence and care:
■ ■
The operator ensures that the device is kept and operated in
perfect technical condition. The operator will inform Sulzer
Mixpac Denmark A/S when any repairs are necessary.
2.4.4 Monitoring and information
The operator is obliged to report to the manufacturer concerning
all (residual) dangers and risks that become known to them and
are not described in these operating instructions. Any require-
ments and/or measures ordered by the manufacturer based on a
report must be observed by the operator (mandatory)!
2.5 Hazard area
The hazard area is the vicinity surrounding the dispenser in which
persons may come into contact with material being dispensed
from the device.

2.6 Safety equipment
For explanation of symbols, refer to Chapter «1.5.2 Symbols».
Any missing or damaged warning and instruction signs
must be replaced immediately!
2.7 Personnel
2.7.1 Rules and works safety
The local safety and accident-prevention regulations always ap-
ply when operating the dispenser.
2.7.2 Requirements made of the operating
personnel
Each person concerned with start-up and operation of the device
must:
be appropriately trained and instructed for the activity at hand,

have read and understood the "Safety instructions" and "Ope-
■ ■
rating the system" chapters of these operating instructions.
2.8 Product-specific safety instructions
2.8.1 Hazards from chemical material dispen-
sed by the device
Obtain special instruction before use

Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and

understood.
WARNING
Materials / toxic vapours injurious to health
Indicates dangers/hazards that may result
from contact with caustic/corrosive chemical
substances.
Risk of injury and positioning as well as damage to
property!

The person using the dispenser, as well as any
persons within the vicinity, must wear protective
goggles and gloves during the operation of the
device.
Observe the safety instructions on the cartridge
or sausage.
2.8.2 Hazards from mechanical effects/inter-
actions
WARNING
Risk of injury!
Never open the electric drive. Contact the Sulzer Mixpac
■ ■
sales point for maintenance / repairs.
Always carefully transport, store and secure the dispen-
■ ■
ser. Any devices that have been dropped / fallen must
immediately be sent to a location authorized by the
manufacturer to be checked and repaired.
2.8.3 Safety warnings charger
WARNING
Recharge only with the charger specified
by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitab-
le for one type of battery pack may create a risk
of fire when used with another battery pack.
Use power tools only with specifically desi-
gned battery packs. Use of any other battery
packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
When battery pack is not in use, keep it
away from other metal objects, like paper
clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other
small metal objects, that can make a
connection from one terminal to another.
Shorting the battery terminals together may
cause burns or a fire.
