originals. This will ensure the safety of the power tool.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR JIG SAWS
Hold the power tool by its insulated gripping surfaces when performing work where the cutting
accessory could potentially make contact with hidden wires or the tool cable. Contact between
the cutting accessory and a live wire could electrify exposed metal parts of the power tool and
cause an electric shock to the user.
Use clamps or any other practical means to secure and support the workpiece on a stable plat-
form. Holding parts with your hands or resting them against your body could make them unstable
and cause loss of control of the tool.
Important! The use of accessories or couplings other than those supplied or recommended by
this instruction manual may result in injury.
• When working with jig saws, ear protection and dust masks should be worn. Exposure to noise
can cause hearing damage.
• Do not use the jig saw to cut asbestos or asbestos-containing materials.
• Do not leave power tools in operation unattended. You should always turn them off and wait for
them to come to a complete stop before releasing them.
• Long hair should be tied back. Do not work with loose clothing.
• Be careful when working on walls. Damage to electrical, gas or water lines can cause dange-
rous situations. Use appropriate detectors to determine if there are hidden cables or conduits in
the area to be worked on.
• Always check that the voltage of the power supply corresponds to the voltage indicated on the
rating plate of the device.
• Secure the workpiece. The workpiece will only be properly secured if it is held by clamps or
similar devices.
• Use of extension cables: use only cables that can withstand the power of the machine. The
minimum conductor cross-section thickness should be 1.5 mm2. When using cable reels, the
cable must always be fully unwound.
• Always unplug the tool before replacing saw blades.
• Caution: Saw blades can get very hot.
• Saw blades should be kept sharp and in good condition. Replace partially fractured or broken
saw blades immediately.
• Work quietly and at a steady pace with the jig saw to avoid accidents and prolong the life of
the jig saw and blades.
