Installation
1.
The SELRA unit can be seperated into two main parts. The Back Box (made of the metal box and hanger bars) and
Housing Assembly (made of the round or square trim plate and the center assembly piece housing the PCBA and the
LEDs.) Detach the Housing Assembly from the Back Box using the screw located at each end of the unit. If required
for installation, separate the pieces via the green cable and screw on the the Housing Assembly from the Back Box.
2.
Determine the proper location for where the unit is going to be mounted. Remove the cardboard template from the
box and place it against the ceiling tile or area of the ceiling where the unit is going to be installed. Trace a line around
the template (Figure A). This will be the area that is going to be removed.
3.
Cut the rectangular hole out of the ceiling area or tile (Figure B). It is recommended for the cutting to be done on the
ground, where possible.
4.
Mount the Back Box in place using the Hanger Bars. The Hanger Bars are designed to align to a 2 foot grid ceiling or to
be screwed, nailed, or hammered into solid framing. Install and secure to structure per all relevant codes. (Figure C).
5.
Make adjustments to the Hanger Bars' holder bracket to adjust the height of the back box (Figure D). Adjust until the
bottom of the back box is flush with the finished ceiling level (Figure E).
6.
Make AC power supply connections inside the Back Box. Connect the Red wire to the Hot line and White wire to the
Neutral of 120-277V power supply. Connect Green wire to the earth ground.
7 .
Connect the JUMPER CONNECTOR to connect the BATTERY to the charger PCBA (Figure F and Schematic).
8.
If needed, replace the round trim plate with the rectangular trim plate included. Slide the complete assembly up and
into the Back Box (Figure H).
9.
Secure the assembly to the Back Box using the screws provided. Make necessary adjustments to the lamp heads ori-
entation at this time (Figure I).
